Glendalough Trail Walk and Stag
05th September 2009
Have decided it's time i got fit again especially after the holiday excesses and what better way than to go walking on the many routes around Glendalough and Wicklow national park, plus its a good excuse to bring the camera.
The white route does a circuit around the upper lake, passing by the ruins of the miner's village and Glenealo valley and up into the peaks of the mountains most notable the Spinc with its aerial view of the upper and lower lakes.
On a clear day you can see the Great Sugar loaf and I have heard even as far as the peak of Snowdonia in Wales.
Here is a Link to couple pictures of a magnificent stag I photographed on this my first walk on the route.
