Highlights of Iceland 4 day roadtrip
In such a short time three days really as Sunday I was travelling home, I managed to see a lot. I had to drive a lot around 1400kms, and I hardly slept as much to pack in the trip with sights as with excitement that I was in Iceland!!
The landmarks I visited, I had to enjoy them as they were regardless of the weather, given more time I would have visited some places several times waiting for the best light. I travelled at the end May meaning almost twenty four hours of light, the midnight sun was almost upon Iceland. This meant I could get around and walk safely without torches, though one occassion at the crashed DC plane was quite dark and I started imagining crevices and cliffs that I don't think were there but could have been, next time i'll bring a head torch.
A list of landmarks below
Travelling from Keflavik airport to Vik on the south east coast.
Second day set out from Vik to glacier lagoon

Third day heading back from Vik to Keflavik
Drove back to Keflavik for the 6am flight
