I was surprised to find I won February monthly competition for projected images at the Clondalkin Camera Club. My image was of the Great South Wall looking in toward Dublin harbour and Poolbeg power station with its iconic chimneys that every visitor to Dublin will instantly recognize.
I was in two minds about putting the image in as both chimneys are not fully visible, though i probably would have been swimming beside the pier to make that happen. The composition and the sky, plus the fact I had waited for a moment when no people were on the pier all helped make a great image. The sky particularly was a beautiful blue with puffy white clouds, it's not too often we have days like this in Ireland but when we do they can be beautiful.
